Workshop for Doctoral Educators
11th - 13th November, 2019, AIMA New Delhi

AIMA Centre for Management Education organised a three day residential workshop on 'Building the Foundations of Evidence Based Management: Workshop for Doctoral Educators’ from 11th to 13th November 2019 at New Delhi. Prof. Phanish Puranam who is currently the Roland Berger Chaired Professor of Strategy and Organisation Design at INSEAD, Singapore was the workshop instructor and speaker.

This workshop was conducted in a ‘Train the Trainer’ format and focused on philosophical underpinnings of the scientific method and delved into topics such as what is a good theory, different types of data, the importance of counterfactuals, and why experiments with randomization are the “gold standard” for evidence-based management. Over 20 faculty members from IIM Vishakhapatnam, IIM Sirmaur, MDI Murshidabad, IMT Ghaziabad, IMT Nagpur, IMT Hyderabad, Fore School of Management, SOM-UPES, K J Somaiya Institute of Management etc. participated in this workshop.
