Background: Contracts form the backbone of business transactions, yet their importance is often neglected, leading to disagreements, disputes and delays. This issue has a global impact, affecting businesses worldwide. According to a study by the Texas Transportation Institute, the economic cost of a USD 100 Million Road Project delay in India is substantial, amounting to USD 15,000 per day. This includes both direct and indirect losses, impacting businesses and overall project efficiency. Contractual disputes not only disrupt project implementation but also escalate costs, adversely impacting development outcomes.
This program aims to enhance understanding and knowledge, empowering participants to navigate contract complexities, prevent disputes, and contribute to successful project execution It covers essential aspects such as handling breaches, dispute avoidance, forms and structures of contract agreements, terms and conditions, managing risk and financial security, dispute resolution mechanisms along with many more essential topics. This initiative is a crucial step toward creating a global business environment where enterprises can enhance without being hindered by contractual obstacles
The program will be delivered in a physical mode, allowing participants to join in person and engage in one-on-one interactions with experts. Interactive sessions with case study analysis on contractual issues and dispute resolution techniques will be conducted. Real-life case studies from various sectors will be discussed, and participants will have the opportunity to engage in role play exercises to enhance their problem-solving skills and explore innovative ideas in different dispute resolution mechanisms.
Participants who successfully complete the training will be awarded with a Certificate of Participation enhancing the value of their accomplishment from premier Institute like AIMA with technical support from The World Bank.
