AIMA - BMA Regional Management Conclave

As part of its diamond jubilee celebrations in 2017, AIMA took up a key initiative to organize the Regional Management Conclaves jointly with its Local Management Associations across the country. Since its inception in 2017, it has been very well received in its editions held across India. In 2021 and 2022, online versions of the same were organized due to the unprecedented times. An edition of the Regional Management Conclave was organised jointly with Bombay Management Association and IIT Bombay on 20th January 2023 at the premises of IIT Bombay . The theme of the conclave was Orchestrating Business Transformation in Age of Digital Innovation. The Inaugural session had Mr Shrinivas V Dempo, President, All India Management Association & Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies, Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, All India Management Association, Mr Keshav R Murugesh, Group CEO - WNS Global Services & Past Chairman – NASSCOM, Mr Rajesh Sharma, President, Bombay Management Association, Professor R K Shyamasundar, INAE Distinguished Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Professor M D Agrawal, Conference Mentor & Past President, Bombay Management Association address the participants.
The Keynote address at the Inaugural Session was delivered by Dr Sam Pitroda, Internationally Respected Telecom Inventor Entrepreneur, Development Thinker and Policy Maker. Dr Pitroda shared how journey in digital innovation started about 60 years ago - The journey included growth from punch card based computing, Desktop, Laptop, palmtop , smart phone, big data, analytics, robotics, sensors, cloud computing, how all of this has happened in a short period of time. Dr Pitroda emphasized on the need to understand how hyper connectivity today is changing everything may it be business, products, services, market, distribution and delivery, he explained how hyper connectivity is about democratization of knowledge and information, decentralization of activities and demonetisation of services. Dr Pitroda said that there is a need to use digital transformation to develop a new mindset - shift attention from profit and power to planet and people.
The other plenary session at the conclave included Leveraging platform economy for business transformation; New digital models for transforming & enhancing customer experience ; Next generation business technologies and their impact: 5G / blockchain/ metaverse; Disruption in the financial sector / banking, financial services and insurance; Policy challenges & regulatory framework for data privacy and cybersecurity for secured business, Machine Learning for Business Transformation. Regional Management Conclave
8th November 2019, Mumbai
AIMA jointly with Bombay Management Association organised the 5th Regional Management Conclave on the theme Winning in the Digital Age on 8th November 2019 at Mumbai. A special session on the theme was addressed by Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, President, AIMA & Chairman and Managing Director, Kirloskar Brothers Limited, Mr Firdose Vandrevala, Former Executive Vice Chairman, Essar Steel India Ltd & Past President, AIMA and Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA. Mr Pramod Bhasin, Founder Genpact Ltd & Chairman, Clix Capital delivered the keynote address in the inaugural session. Ms Prashanthi Reddy, President-Strategic Initiatives, YES Bank was the Chairperson of the conclave and Ms Chayya Sehgal, President Bombay Management Association delivered the welcome address.

The conclave saw a participation of over 300 which included CEOs, management professionals and students. The Conclave was very well received by the delegates.
Regional Management Conclave
Kochi, 30th April 2019
All India Management Association jointly with Kerala Management Association organised the 4th Regional Management Conclave on 30th April 2019 at Kochi. The theme of the Conclave was Innovation in the Age of Disruption. The Chief Guests on the occasion were Mr R Gopalakrishnan, Former Director, Tata Sons and Professor Debashis Chatterjee, Director, Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. Mr Gopalakrishnan delivered the keynote address on ‘Innovation in the Age of Disruption’ and Professor Chatterjee addressed on ‘Capitalising on Industry 4.0: Leadership Insights’ during the inaugural session. Mr C S Kartha, Managing Partner, Karthas Shipping Solutions was the Chairperson of the Regional Management Conclave.
Mr Dinesh P Thampi, President, Kerala Management Association, Vice President & Delivery Centre Head – Kerala, Tata Consultancy Services set the context of the conclave and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr V George Antony, Honorary Secretary, Kerala Management Association & Non-Executive Vice Chairman, UAE Exchange & Financial Services Ltd. On the occasion; Mr R Gopalakrishnan’s new book ‘Crash: Lessons from the Entry and Exit of CEOs’ was also released by the panel.
