MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
FOR WOMEN PROFESSIONALS
19-21 March 2024, AIMA, New Delhi

As women ascend the professional hierarchy, the demand for a multifaceted skill set becomes more pronounced. Beyond specialised expertise, the acquisition of robust managerial competencies is paramount. Understanding the growing demands placed on women as they climb the professional ladder, AIMA conducted a three-day Management Development Programme for women professionals on the theme ‘Reach Where You Aspire To’, from 19-21 March 2024 at AIMA, New Delhi.

The mentor of the programme, Ms Veena Swarup, Former Director HR, EIL played a pivotal role in steering and shaping the MDP to empower and inspire women to become leaders in their respective fields.

The MDP covered Basics of Management, Strategic Decision-Making, Techniques for People Management, Values Ethics, Financial Essentials, Performance Management Balance Score Card and Effective Communication. The faculty of these sessions were Mr R Anand, Principal Consultant Advisor-HR, HCL Technologies Ltd.; Dr Kumar Bijoy, Financial Consultant, Faculty SSCBS University of Delhi Chartered Financial Analyst; Ms Nina Chatrath, Independent Board Director Leadership Consultant and Dr Ganesh Singh, Professor HR OB, AIMA.

‘Spread Your Wings’ was the subtheme which covered topics like Build Your Confidence, Image and Brand and Leadership Skills. Some of the successful women professionals who inspired the participants included Ms Bani Varma, Director (Industrial Systems Products), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited; Ms Sangeeta Ramrakhyani, Director (Personnel), Central Warehousing Corporation; Dr Payal Kumar, Principal Academic Advisor, Indian School of Hospitality Emerald Brand Ambassador, and Ms Urvija Bajpai, Former Executive Director LD, IndianOil Institute of Petroleum Management.

‘Fuelling Career Growth with Well-being Health’ was one of the specials sessions of the MDP, led by Dr Shikha Nehru Sharma, Founder, Nutriwel Health India Pvt Ltd. Another insightful session, themed Know Yourself, was led by Dr. Sanghamitra Buddhapriya, Dean (Academics) at FORE School of Management, where the faculty assisted participants in identifying various personality traits using psychometric tools.

The MDP attracted participation from NPCIL, Petronet LNG Limited, NHPC, HAL, HPCL Mittal, CWC, MOIL, RBI, Naval Physical Oceanographic Laboratory, Roop Automotives Ltd., Beacon Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., and Thermodyne Engineering Systems. Women professionals from various cities including Bengaluru, Lucknow, Vadodara, Kochi, Kolkata, Korwa, Nagpur, Rawatbhata, Dahej travelled to attend the MDP.

By integrating a comprehensive curriculum, experiential learning, and mentorship, AIMA aims to cultivate a cohort of empowered women leaders poised to make significant impacts in their respective fields.
