20th Global Advanced Management Programme

AIMA conducted the 20th edition of its highly popular programme, the Global Advanced Management Programme (GAMP), in Silicon Valley from May 12th-18th, 2024 on the theme‘ Expanding Markets by Leveraging Emerging Technologies’. Professor Solomon Darwin, the Executive Director of the Garwood School of Innovation at the Haas School of Innovation in the University of California, Berkeley, served as the Programme Director. The welcome and opening remarks were delivered by Ms. Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA and the keynote session was addressed by Mr. PK Agarwal, Dean, UC Santa Cruz, Former CTO of California State.
The session exposed the delegates to the Business Remodeling process, which broadened their perspectives and introduced them to a world of opportunities and possibilities. Additionally, other distinguished speakers also addressed the delegation, including Mr. Robert Locke, BOD & Senior Advisor to SV Firms, and Former SVP at Johnson Controls; and Dr. Jim Spohrer, Former Senior Director at IBM and APPLE. The programme comprised classroom sessions and visits to Silicon Valley’s leading innovative companies, including meetings with their top management teams. The delegates got the opportunity to visit iconic companies including Google Cloud, NVIDIA, Siemens Energy, Pacific Gas & Electric, Chevron, as well as Japanese energy companies like Chubu, INPEX, and ENEOS, along with Palo Alto Labs. The programme also featured visits to the Computer History Museum and the Apple Experience Center. This year, the event saw participation from prominent Indian companies, including Tata Steel, GAIL, NTPC, NHPC, Balmer Laurie & Co. and IFFCO.
Notably, many senior executives representing these organisations actively engaged in a well-crafted programme that emphasised ‘Business Model Innovation.’ The programme also included a presentation of Innovative Business Models by participants on behalf of their companies to a highly prestigious jury from Silicon Valley. It concluded with the participants receiving certificates from Ms. Rekha Sethi, the Director General of AIMA for successfully completing the programme.

AIMA conducted the 19th edition of its highly popular programme, the Global Advanced Management Programme (GAMP), in Silicon Valley from 9th October to 15th October, 2023 on the theme ‘Expanding Markets by Leveraging Emerging Technologies’. Some of the iconic companies visited by the delegates included Facebook (Meta), Google Cloud, NVIDIA, Experian, Siemens, Bloom Energy, IBM, Lab45, Mercedes-Benz, Salesforce, amongst others. The programme also included visits to the Computer History Museum and Stanford University Campus. In addition, the delegation was addressed by distinguished speakers including Mr. PK Aggarwal, Dean of UC Santa Cruz Silicon Valley Campus & Former CTO of California State; Dr. Jorge Sanz Chief Innovation Officer; AI Process Innovation, IBM, Martin Sauber, Chief of Staff to the President, Mercedes-Benz, Uday Kapoor, former Director, Oracle.
This year, GAMP saw active participation from prominent Indian companies, including Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Tata Steel, GAIL India Ltd., and MIET Group of Institutions. Notably, many senior executives representing these organisations actively engaged in a well-crafted programme that emphasised 'Business Model Innovation.' This comprehensive programme included classroom lectures, on-site visits to the most innovative companies in the Silicon Valley, along with their top management teams. Additionally, participants had the valuable opportunity to interact with numerous thought leaders and futurists, fostering rich insights and knowledge exchange.
The executives presented Innovative Business Models for their companies to a high-profile jury from Silicon Valley. The programme concluded with the participants receiving certificates from Ms Rekha Sethi, the Director General of AIMA.
