AIMA organised its 29th Convocation on 5th September 2024 in New Delhi. Prof. Sitharam T.G, Chairman, AICTE, Ministry of Education, Government of India was the chief guest of the convocation. Prof Sitharam congratulated the fresh graduates on the successful completion of their courses. In his Convocation Address, he urged graduates to prioritise “ethical leadership” and let integrity guide their career decisions. He also advised them to shape their future through goal-setting, skill development and grasping opportunities. Mr. Nikhil Sawhney, then President, AIMA and Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Triveni Turbine Limited delivered the welcome address and highlighted how AIMA supports graduates with job placement guidance, career counselling, and professional development.
While giving her introductory remarks, Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General of AIMA, advised the graduates to “invest in themselves” through skill development and seizing growth opportunities. Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Chairman, Board of Studies and Director, IIM Nagpur, presented the report on AIMA’s Centre for Management Education, highlighting some of its key initiatives. This year, 15 students were felicitated for successfully completing their PhD in Business Administration, a programme offered in collaboration with Aligarh Muslim University. 223 students were given their Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Post Graduate Diploma in IT Management (PGDITM). Over 800 students received Post Graduate Certificates in various specialisations including finance, business analytics, international business, digital marketing, and Professional Diplomas in public procurement.
More than 400 students were presented Professional Certificates and short course certificates in different specialisations including financial modelling, contract dispute resolution, public private partnership and business consulting. Total 1464 AIMA students were conferred Degrees and certificates. The Convocation concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof (Dr) Rohit Singh, Director, AIMA CME.
AIMA organised its 28th Annual Convocation on 8th August 2023 in New Delhi. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Mr. Vikram Chandra, Former CEO of NDTV and founder of Editorji Technologies, delivered the convocation address, urging students to “Bet on India” and highlighting unprecedented opportunities for India’s young generation. Delivering the welcome address, Mr Shiv Shivakumar, Operating Partner at Advent International Private Equity and Former Chairman of PepsiCo India, advised students to focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills.

Mr P Balaji, Chief Regulatory and Corporate Affairs of Vodafone Idea, and Mr Tej Paul Bhatla, Senior Vice AIMA Directors, faculty and other dignitaries President & Head Public Services Business India of TCS, were awarded AIMA’s fellowship. Degrees and certificates were also conferred upon over 900 AIMA students, including 14 PhDs, 352 Post Graduate Diplomas, and 444 Post Graduate Certificates. The Convocation concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Ganesh Singh, Officiating Director, AIMA CME.
AIMA held its 27th Convocation on 9th September 2022 in New Delhi. Mr Suresh Prabhu, Founding Chancellor of Rishihood University, Guest Professor of London School of Economics, Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament addressed the convocation and congratulated AIMA students for receiving their various management degrees, diplomas and certificates. He said, “Idea is the only capital that doesn’t depreciate but can multiply”. He laid emphasis on choosing the right institute as it helps in a smooth transition to the professional world. He cited the example of AIMA which has a confluence of subject matter experts and experienced industry personnels guiding the students by delivering practical education.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr CK Ranganathan, then President, AIMA and Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt Ltd, and Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA delivered the introductory remarks. The vote of thanks was given by Dr Raj Agrawal, Director, AIMA CME.
The report on Centre for Management Education was presented by Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Chairman, Board of Studies and Director, IIM Nagpur. At the Convocation, 12 candidates were felicitated for being awarded PhD Degree in Business Administration, run by AIMA in partnership with Aligarh Muslim University. AIMA’s flagship Post-Graduate Diploma in Management was presented to 607 students. The Post-Graduate Diploma in IT Management was given to 10 students and 580 students were awarded certificates and diplomas for completing various short and specialized management courses. AIMA also conferred it’s fellowship to 2 eminent management professionals.
