Transformational HR: Catalyst for the Future Organisation

AIMA organised the 2nd edition of its HR Power Workshop in Mumbai on 28th and 29th November. Mr KS Shetty, Programme Chairman & Director HR, HPCL chaired the workshop, and addressing the same were many distinguished Speakers. The workshop offered HR professionals a chance to network, learn, and explore innovative strategies for business transformation. Its unique approach blended theory, practical applications, and case studies to address HR challenges and enhance creativity.
The workshop began with a welcome address by Mr. Neeraj Kapoor, Director, AIMA followed by Mr SY Siddiqui, Chairman, AIMA HR Core Committee & Former Executive Advisor, Maruti Suzuki setting the context. Mr. KS Shetty then gave the Chairman’s Address, and Mr Anil K Khandelwal, Former Chairman & MD, Bank of Baroda delivered the keynote address. Some of the eminent speakers who addressed the event included, Ms Neetu Chitkara, MD & Partner, Boston Consulting Group; Mr P Dwarakanath, Former Chairman, GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd; Rohit Thakur, CHRO, Auto & Farm Sectors, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd; Mr Ayush Gupta, Director HR, GAIL India Ltd; Mr Sanjay Behl, CEO & Co-Founder, Nextqore Pvt Ltd (Former CEO, Raymond Ltd); Mr C Jayakumar, Executive VP & CHRO, Larsen & Toubro; Mr Ashok Ramchandran, Director HR, Aditya Birla Group; Mr Deepak Deshpande, VP & Head Customer Experience, Tata Business Excellence Group (Tata Sons); Mr Pushp Kumar Nayar, Executive Director HR , BPCL; Mr R Sivakami, Clinical Psychologist & Therapist.
The HR Best Practices Case Study Contest was held online prior to the workshop, where PSU and private companies showcased their case studies to a distinguished jury. The winners were recognised at the workshop and given the opportunity to present their projects to the audience. The workshop brought together HR leaders and experts, offering valuable insights and facilitating networking and collaboration, and was well-received by the attending delegates.
1st HR Power Workshop
15th – 16th March, 2024 New Delhi
AIMA organised its HR Power Workshop at its Lajpat Nagar Office on 15th and 16th March. This event aimed to empower HR professionals with insights, strategies, and tools for the evolving HR landscape. Mr Neeraj Kapoor initiated the proceedings while Chairman, HR Core Committee, Mr S.Y. Siddiqui talked about how “upskilling and reskilling” should be crucial prerogatives of the HR for a “challenging business world”, in his address. In his keynote address, Mr. P Dwarakanath, emphasied the importance of “integrating technology with human intelligence” for efficient HR operations. Further, he spoke about (PREEST- political, regulatory, economic, environmental, social, and technological), which are very significant factors for aligning HR strategies with organisational success.
Following this, awards were presented to the winners of the Case Study Presentation for HR Best Practices Case Study Contest. The Contest was earlier conducted virtually and held in 2 segments- The PSU and the Private Sector. The Winners also got the opportunity to present their Case Study at the event.
Mr R Anand and Mr Anurag Malik conducted a Session on- ‘Data Science / AI / Gen AI in HR’ explaining how all these tools are transforming HR with advanced analytics and automation, improving recruitment and workforce management via data-driven decisions and creative problem-solving. A CEO Session on- ‘Building Competitive Edge of Business thru People Excellence’ addressed by Mr Ajey Mehta and Mr Sudhakar Ambati emphasised on promoting a culture of employee engagement, continuous learning, and leadership development for improved performance.
Last in line was an HR Leader Session on- ‘Emerging HR Challenges & Way Forward’ addressed by Mr Ayush Gupta and Mr SY Siddiqui that explored innovative strategies to tackle challenges like remote work adaptation, effective team management, and meeting evolving employee expectations. Mr Siddiqui concluded the Workshop by offering a vote of thanks to all the Speakers and delegates for making the event a grand success.
