AIMA-CME 27th Convocation
9 September 2022, New Delhi
AIMA held its 27th Convocation on 9th September 2022 in New Delhi. Mr Suresh Prabhu, Founding Chancellor of Rishihood University, Guest Professor of London School of Economics, Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament addressed the convocation and congratulated AIMA students for receiving their various management degrees, diplomas and certificates. He said, “Idea is the only capital that doesn’t depreciate but can multiply”. He laid emphasis on choosing the right institute as it helps in a smooth transition to the professional world. He cited the example of AIMA which has a confluence of subject matter experts and experienced industry personnels guiding the students by delivering practical education.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr CK Ranganathan, then President, AIMA and Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt Ltd, and Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA delivered the introductory remarks. The vote of thanks was given by Dr Raj Agrawal, Director, AIMA CME.
The report on Centre for Management Education was presented by Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Chairman, Board of Studies and Director, IIM Nagpur. At the Convocation, 12 candidates were felicitated for being awarded PhD Degree in Business Administration, run by AIMA in partnership with Aligarh Muslim University. AIMA’s flagship Post-Graduate Diploma in Management was presented to 607 students. The Post-Graduate Diploma in IT Management was given to 10 students and 580 students were awarded certificates and diplomas for completing various short and specialized management courses. AIMA also conferred it’s fellowship to 2 eminent management professionals.

AIMA held its 26th Convocation online on 8th September 2021. Mr Suresh Narayanan, Chairman & Managing Director, Nestlé India Ltd addressed the Convocation and congratulated AIMA students for receiving their various management degrees, diplomas and certificates. At the Convocation, 20 candidates were felicitated for being awarded PhD Degree in Business Administration, run by AIMA in partnership with Aligarh Muslim University. AIMA’s flagship Post-Graduate Diploma in Management and Post-Graduate Diploma in IT Management was presented to 702 students. 880 students were awarded certificates and diplomas for completing various short and specialised management courses.
Mr Harsh Pati Singhania, President, AIMA and Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JK Paper Ltd congratulated the new graduates on getting their management qualifications during his welcome address. Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA delivered the introductory remarks. Mr Shrinivas V Dempo, Vice President, AIMA and Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies introduced the chief guest and Mr CK Ranganathan, Senior Vice President, AIMA, and Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt Ltd delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Chairman Board of Studies of AIMA and Director, IIM Nagpur, presented the activity report of AIMA Centre of Management Education.
During the convocation, six eminent business leaders and academics were presented AIMA Fellowship. More than 3000 students, academics and delegates attended the virtual convocation through video conferencing and social media channels.
AIMA 25th Convocation

AIMA held its 25th Convocation online for the first time on 20th August 2020. Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Minister of Education addressed the Convocation and congratulated AIMA students for receiving their various management degrees, diplomas and certificates. At the convocation, 17 candidates were felicitated for being awarded PhD Degree in Business Administration, run by AIMA in partnership with Aligarh Muslim University. AIMA’s flagship Post-Graduate Diploma in Management was presented to 603 students. The Post-Graduate Diploma in IT Management was given to 13 students and 925 students were awarded certificates and diplomas for completing various short and specialized management courses.
AICTE Chairman, Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe delivered the keynote address of the convocation. He appreciated AIMA for holding the country’s first entirely online convocation. Earlier Mr C K Ranganathan, then Vice President, AIMA and Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt Ltd introduced Dr Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE. Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA expressed confidence in the capacity of AIMA graduates to do well in a tough economy.
Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Chairman, Board of Studies, AIMA and Board Member, IIM Trichy, presented a report of education and research activities of AIMA during the year.
Closing the convocation, Mr Harshpati Singhania, then Sr Vice President, AIMA and Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JK Paper Ltd appreciated the participation of the Education Minister and the AICTE Chairman and thanked them for sharing their vision for Indian education’s future.
