AIMA held its 66th Foundation Day and 16th National Management Day online on the theme ‘Thriving on uncertainty: Managing radical change’ on 21st February 2022. Mr Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog while delivering the keynote address shared that the Indian economy will grow 9.2% this year and is expected to keep growing similarly. According to him, the micro and the macro growth drivers are in place and India has cemented its position as the world’s fastest-growing economy for the long term.
Mr Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India while participating in a chat with Mr Harsh Pati Singhania, Immediate Past President, AIMA and Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JK Paper Ltd said that the aviation sector now has a spring in its step and it will become the backbone of Indian transportation in the next 5-7 years.
Mr CK Ranganathan, President, AIMA & Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt Ltd delivered the welcome address. Mr Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman & Managing Director, Hindustan Unilever Ltd & President, Unilever, South Asia delivered the theme address; and Mr Vishesh C. Chandiok, CEO, Grant Thornton Bharat gave a special address. Mr Nikhil Sawhney, Vice President, AIMA & Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Triveni Turbine Ltd also addressed the gathering and delivered the concluding remarks. Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA gave the introductory remarks. On the occasion, Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman and CEO, Hero MotoCorp received the AIMA JRD Tata Award for Corporate Leadership. The AIMA Life Time Achievement Award for Management was presented to Mr Harsh C. Mariwala, Chairman, Marico Limited. This year the AIMA Public Service Excellence Award was presented to Anonymous Frontline workers. AIMA also presented the AIMA - Dr. J S Juneja Award for Creativity and Innovation in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises to FIB-SOL Life Technologies and the AIMA Ram Tarneja Award for Best Article in Indian Management to Mr Vivek Mehra, Managing Director & CEO, SAGE India.
Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman and CEO, Hero MotoCorp delivered the JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award Lecture and he said that the evolution of mobility is not limited to the change in fuel or the manner of usage of vehicles. According to him, while it is about freedom of movement or getting from point A to point B, it is also about making a living or making a social statement. The session was moderated by Mr Nikhil Sawhney. In another session, Mr Harsh C. Mariwala, Chairman, Marico Limited in a conversation with Mr CK Ranganathan said, “If an organisation tolerates people who cannot perform, it demotivates others...Good talent may leave and the not so good talent will continue”.
A special digital Souvenir which was made interactive and responsive was also released on the occasion. The programme was virtually attended by more than 3200 delegates and was watched live by millions on AIMA’s social media channels.

AIMA held its 65th Foundation Day & 15th National Management Day online on the theme ‘Transformation for Continuity’ on 20th February 2021. Ms Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Corporate Affairs & Finance, Government of India delivered the keynote address. Mr Uday Kotak, Executive Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Kotak Mahindra Bank, also addressed the management leadership of the country on the occasion. Mr Harsh Pati Singhania, President, AIMA and Vice Chairman and Managing Director, JK Paper Ltd, delivered the welcome address and complimented the FM on her budget, which he referred to as a budget of transformation for continuity. Mr CK Ranganathan, Senior Vice President, AIMA and Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt Ltd gave the vote of thanks. Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA, also addressed the gathering and delivered the introductory remarks.
On the occasion, Mr Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman & Managing Director, Hindustan Unilever Limited, received the AIMA - JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award. Dr Randeep Guleria, Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, received the AIMA Public Service Excellence Award. AIMA also presented the AIMA Dr Ram Tarneja Award for Best Article in Indian Management to Mr Ambi Parmeswaran, Founder, brandbuilding.com, and the AIMA Dr J S Juneja Award for Creativity and Innovation in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises to Captain Tractors.

Mr Azim Premji, Founder Chairman, Wipro Limited had a fire-side chat with Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director, Kirloskar Brothers and another session on ‘Vaccinating India’ was organised with Dr Randeep Guleria, Director, AIIMS, New Delhi and Ms Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Group.

AIMA held its 64th Foundation Day & 14th National Management Day on the theme ‘Winning in the Digital Age’ on 21st February 2020. Mr Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry Government of India delivered the keynote address and said, “The industry and professional organisations have a role in nation building. If AIMA and other industry organisations join their efforts, India’s business ecosystem can be transformed”. “We can make India a superpower or the world’s greatest economy it once was in this generation and leave a great country for the next generation,” he added.

On the occasion, Mr S Ramadorai, Chairman, Governing Board of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, received the AIMA Life Time Achievement in Management Award. The AIMA Public Service Excellence Award was presented to Mr RS Sodhi, Managing Director, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. Mr Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, Tata Sons, received the AIMA Dr Ram Tarneja Award for Best Article in Indian Management. The Dr JS Juneja Award for Creativity and Innovation in MSME was presented to Microlit. The award was received by Mr Atul Jain, Director, R&D, Microlit and Mr Aadhar Jain, Head-Product Development, Microlit.
The book ‘Innovation: Key to Success for Enterprises’ was launched on the occasion. Dr JS Juneja, Chairman, AIMA MSME Committee & Chairman, Global Projects & Services Pvt. Ltd. introduced the book to the audience. The Foundation Day souvenir was also released by guests of honour.
