17th Global Advanced Management Programme
AIMA conducted the 17th edition of its very popular programme – The Global Advanced Management Programme (GAMP) in Silicon Valley from November 27th to December 3rd, 2022. The programme was Co- Directed by Prof. Solomon Darwin, Executive Director of Garwood School of Innovation at the Haas School of Innovation in University of California, Berkeley and Professor Naeem Zafar, Faculty member, University of California Berkeley & Northeastern University.
The theme of the programme was ‘Reviving Growth Through Open Innovation Strategies’. GAMP was conducted after a hiatus of two plus years due to Covid and saw participation from many leading Indian companies including Tata Steel, State Bank of India, PowerGrid, NTPC and CavinKare. Some of the iconic companies visited by the delegates were Google, NVIDIA, IBM, Autodesk, Ericsson, Wipro Innovation Centre and Kaneka Aerospace. The Universities visited included UC Berkeley and Stanford. The programme also included visits to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers the Bay Model and SFO Ecotarium.
Some of the eminent speakers who addressed the delegation included Mr PK Aggarwal, Dean, UC Santa Cruz Silicon Valley Campus & Former CTO of California State; Dr Jim Spohrer, Member Board of Directors International Society of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP); Mr Prith Banerjee, Chief Technology Officer, Ansys and Mr Faraz Hoodbhoy, Advisor, Gridware and Entrepreneurship Course Mentor, UC Berkeley.
The executives made presentations on reworked Business Models for their companies to a highprofile jury comprising Dr Preetha Ram, Managing Partner, Pier 70 Ventures; Mr R Paul Singh, Entrepreneur and Educator and Ex-CEO, CMO and CRO, Advisor in the Art and Science of Start and Growth and Mr Jay Boddu, Venture Capitalist and Ex-Vice President Juniper. The programme ended with the participants being awarded the Certificates by AIMA Director General, Ms Rekha Sethi.

16th Global Advanced Management Programme
AIMA organised its 16th edition of the Global Advanced Management Programme (GAMP) in the Silicon Valley, USA, from 23th to 29th June, 2019. The programme was led by Prof. Solomon Darwin, Executive Director, Center for Corporate Innovation, Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. The theme of the programme was ‘Disruptive Innovation & Open Business Models in the Changing Global Landscape’.
GAMP is designed especially for senior executives to provide insights into Open Innovation and Disruptive Innovative business model. From keynote speakers and panel discussions to executive briefings at top Silicon Valley companies, participants actively engaged in creative problem-solving exercises and developed a new business model for their own organisations. The senior executives attending the programme learned from a multitude of inspirational and innovative leaders at on-site visits to Open Innovation Gateway Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc, Berkeley SkyDeck, Calpine Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank, Well Fargo Bank, PG&E, NVidia, DuPont Innovation Center, Cisco, PayPal, Wipro Innovation Center, IBM Research Center and Plug & Play.
Mr Sanjay Kumar Panda, Consulate General of India in San Francisco addressed and interacted with the participants at a special plenary session.
At the end of the programme, the participants presented an innovative business model for their companies to a Jury comprising of senior executives from Silicon Valley. The delegates were also conferred with the ‘Global Advanced Management Programme’ Certificate.
