14th National MSME Convention
AIMA organised its 14th National MSME Convention on the 23rd- 24th January 2025 at Kochi, on the theme- ‘Building Sustainable MSMEs: Promoting Inclusive Growth through Innovation & Technology’. The 2-day convention served as a key platform for MSME stakeholders to explore the role of sustainability in driving growth and innovation. Participants also gained insights into MSME banking, market trends and finance access, along with networking opportunities.
The Inaugural session was led by Mr K R Bijimon, Executive Director & Coo, The Muthoot Group of Companies; Dr Neelakantan P C, Principal, Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science; Mr A. AIMA. The event also featured a virtual special address by Ms. Barbara Terenzi, President, WUSME, who spoke about WUSME's efforts to support MSMEs, focusing on overcoming challenges like access to finance and environmental protection.

Cdr Ragashree D Nair; Mr David Tereladze, Dean – MBS, Muthoot Business School; Ms Lekha Balachandran; Dr Bindu Sathyajith; Mr V.P. Nandakumar; Dr Shajimon K John; Mr VKC Razak; Dr Thomas (Thomman) George K; Ms U C Lachithamol and Mr P J Jose, State Vice President, Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA). The speakers delved into a variety of essential and strategic topics to equip MSMEs with the tools needed to thrive in today’s competitive business environment, addressing challenges, opportunities, and effective solutions for sustainable growth and innovation.
The convention witnessed a participation of over 200 delegates from different organisations including industrialists, bureaucrats, thought leaders, representatives from MSMEs, start-ups and academia.

13th National MSME Convention
AIMA successfully organised the 13th National MSME convention on the theme ‘Innovation and Digital Transformation for MSMEs: Opportunities and Challenges’ in collaboration with Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) and Bangalore Management Association at Bangalore on March 15th -16th , 2024 . The Convention was supported by Government of Karnataka, State Bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Organic India and Small Industries Development Bank of India.
Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA provided the Introductory remark during inaugural session of the convention. Shir Shashidhara Shetty, President, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association, (KASSIA) delivered the welcome address. Shir Shashidhara Shetty spoke about various initiatives taken by Govt of Karnataka to promote the growth of MSMEs. Dr J S Juneja, Chairman, MSME Committee & Past President, AIMA set the context of the convention and Mr Nikhil Sawhney , President, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Triveni Turbine Limited delivered the theme address. Shri M G Rajagopal, Vice President provided a brief about the KASSIA. The vote of thanks was given by Shir Nagaraju. Also, a special message of Ms. Barbara Terenzi, President, World Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (WUSME) was read during the inaugural session.
