Prof (Dr.) Rohit Singh
Director - Centre for Management Education

Dr. Rohit Singh has joined All India Management Association as Director – Centre for Management Education.  Prior to joining AIMA Prof. Singh worked as Pro Vice Chancellor, The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati, Assam and has a teaching experience spanning over twenty-three years. Prof Singh worked as Professor and Dean Academics at AURO University, Surat Gujarat as a founding faculty member. He served as Associate Professor at GD Goenka World Institute Lancaster University, Gurgaon, and at the School of Management Sciences, Varanasi as Reader. He started his teaching career from a Constituent College of the University of Allahabad.  He has to his credit a Ph.D. in Advertising Management from the Department of Commerce and Business Administration (MONIRBA), University of Allahabad, and a Master Diploma in Business Administration and Post Graduate Degree in Commerce with specialization in Marketing from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has the distinction of clearing both UGC NET and UP SLET in Commerce. He is an Associate Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. His area of interest is Marketing, with special emphasis on Advertising and Branding, he loves grooming and training students in the areas of financial accounting and analysis. Dr Singh engage classes in Strategic Marketing, Rural Marketing, Research Methodology, Service Marketing, Sales & Distribution Management for PG, UG, PG Diploma and research students. 

A researcher at heart, Dr Singh has published nearly forty papers and articles in leading international and national journals. He has contributed ten chapters in edited books, attended six dozen seminars and conferences for active deliberations and paper presentations, conducted and participated in more than twenty-three Quality Improvements Programs and Management Development Programs at IITs, IIM, IIFT, VNSGU, AIMA and leading management institutes in the areas of Marketing, Strategy, Research Methodology & Finance for professional developments. Dr. Singh has conducted few Management Development Programs and training programs for the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Agri Business and Agri Clinic Centres for the Government of India. He has been invited as a Keynote Speaker in the International Conference on Precarious Lives Uncertain Future, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy in 2020. He is an avid reader and is keenly aware of new and emerging issues in Marketing, Branding, Rural Marketing and Consumer Experience. 

He has the expertise of playing a key role as founding member in Planning, Designing, Executing New Academic & Institutional Building Projects & Plans. He has discharged his responsibility as Head-International Relations Office, Principal Coordinator - Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan for Ministry of HRD, Govt of India at the Universities he worked with. He was a member of CII Gujarat Panel on Skill Development 2020-21. He is also a member of AIMA Delhi, Executive Committee and Life Member of Indian Economic Association, ISTD, Strategic Management Forum of India (SMFI) & IRSSM, India. At AURO University, Surat he has designed and successfully worked on AURO Rural Immersion Program (ARIP) at the University, Surat for integrating classroom learning of students with society and stakeholders of the rural landscape and space through active, meaningful teaching and learning process. He has been conferred with “Distinguished Alumni Award” for the year 2022 by Strategic Management Forum of India – SMFI. His commitment and hard work have brought him many laurels in his journey of academic excellence.
